Overview

Crossfade converts music links between streaming services. Your privacy is straightforward: we collect as little data as possible and none of it identifies you.

What data is processed

When you use Crossfade to convert a music link, the following happens:

Music URLs you share or visit on supported streaming sites are sent to the Odesli API (song.link) to find the equivalent link on your preferred service. Crossfade does not control the Odesli API. Their privacy policy is available at odesli.co/privacy.
Search queries derived from song titles and artist names may be sent to the iTunes Search API (Apple) or the SoundCloud API to resolve links when the primary API does not have a match.

What data is stored

Your preferred music service and enabled services are stored locally on your device using App Groups shared storage. This data never leaves your device.
No accounts or sign-in is required to use the link conversion features.
No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included in the app.

Safari extension

The Crossfade Safari extension runs only on supported music streaming websites. It does not have access to your browsing history, passwords, or data on other websites. The extension's permissions are limited to the specific music service domains it supports.

Share extension

When you share a link to Crossfade via the iOS share sheet, only the shared URL and any accompanying text are processed. No other data from the source app is accessed.

Third-party services

Crossfade communicates with the following third-party services solely for link conversion:

Odesli / song.link API — cross-platform music link resolution
Apple iTunes Search API — artist and track lookup
SoundCloud API — track and artist search
Pandora API — artist lookup

Children's privacy

Crossfade does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
